CAIIA

2001 Annual Convention--Pleasanton, California

Members of the CAIIA realized the benefit of belonging to their association during the 2001 Annual Convention.  Members who took the time out of their week and supported their country's economy, witnessed the transfer of power from the CAIIA's first female president, Lorrie Ware, RPA, to Sterrett Harper, RPA as the 55th year's president and the first full term president of the new century.  Lorrie is to be commended on her leadership in the first year of recent note that we did not have a full time Executive Director.  We cannot thank Lorrie enough for her efforts this past year which, as noted at the members meeting, brought the CAIIA clearly in financial black.  Good job, Lorrie!

and past-president, Lorrie Ware

During the business meeting, a new executive board of directors was established.  Joining Mr. Harper in the 2001-2002 fiscal year are President Elect Steve Tilghman, RPA of Acclamation Insurance Management Services (AIMS), Vice President Lee Collins, RPA of Gregory B. Bragg & Associates, and Secretary-Treasurer Douglas B. Jackson, RPA of Southwest Claims Service, Inc.

Some of our illustrious directors hard at work.

Thanks were given to the tireless efforts of the CAIIA's Board of Directors, Ray Fimbres, RPA, Sharon Glenn-Hayward, Larry Hunt, Elaine Jackson, RPA, Don Ferguson, RPA, and Stephen Wakefield, RPA.  Elaine Jackson graciously agreed to step off of the Board to allow her other half, Douglas Jackson, RPA, to join the Executive Board.  Since no two members of the same company can hold board positions at the same time, Elaine gave up her last year on the board but agreed to step forward and offer her services as the Status Report Sponsorship Committee chair.

Elaine Jackson, RPA
