 CLAIMS REGULATIONS CERTIFICATION CLASSES

In recognition of the need for Certification compliance requirements by the California Department of Insurance, the CAIIA offers classes for the  3 above programs each year...throughout the State. 

 

Please click here  to download the Registration Form for the next SEED seminar to be held on May 23, 2008 in South Lake Tahoe, CA.  At the Seminar, the CAIIA will be presenting the Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations Recertification, the Seminar for the Evaluation of Earthquake Damage (SEED), and the Special Investigations "SIU" Fraud certification.  All three are required certifications for staff and independent adjusters.

Claims Professional of the Year

The 2008 Claim Professional of the Year Award has been bestowed upon Douglas Jackson, RPA of Southwest Claims Service (Simi Valley, CA).  Mr. Jackson is past president of the CAIIA and current president of the Society of Registered Professional Adjusters (RPA).

The 2008 Claim Professional of the Year Award,  is sponsored by Claims Magazine and Smith & Brink, P.C., Attorneys At Law.  Mr. Jackson will be recognized formally at a special award ceremony at the 2008 ACE, America ’s Claims Event, to be held at the Renaissance Orlando Resort at SeaWorld in Florida , June 9-11, 2008.

   SEED Seminar Presentation Panel Shaking at Tahoe Earthquake Event !

If you are coming to Tahoe this month, you will be seeing a few extra faces to the panel.  Michael J. O’Connor, P.E., S.E., C.F.I. – O’Connor Engineering will be handling the engineering part of the program and Dan Dyce of the CEA will be adding to the insurance program.  If you aren't signed up yet, what are you waiting for...California to slip in the ocean?

The CAIIA has established the Steve Tilghman Scholarship Fund to support the continuing education and professionalism of the insurance claims professional. Formed in memory of the late Steve Tilghman, a past President of the CAIIA and a person committed to the betterment of our adjusting community, the CAIIA invites any person in the claims adjusting community to apply for one of the scholarships.
