CAIIA Recommended Educational Courses

The following are current courses provided by the CAIIA and its Partners.  Most are qualified for California Department of Insurance Continuing Education (CE) credits. 

The CAIIA is an approved education provider by the CDI (CDI# 198351). 

 For further information or to inquire as to how you or your firm can partner up with the CAIIA on providing educational courses, send an email to us with your course syllabus and/or information.

  The Steven Tilghman Scholarship

The Steven Tilghman  Scholarship was started to honor the tradition of education that the CAIIA and, especially, the past-president of the CAIIA, Steve Tilghman, recognized was and is a key component of the insurance claims professional.

Each year, the CAIIA offers scholarships to those individuals enrolled in am accredited college-level insurance program working towards a certificate and/or degree in Insurance.  To apply, click here, to fill out and submit a scholarship application for consideration.  The maximum scholarship that will be awarded is $500.00. Deadline for submissions is October 1, 2012.

This 8 hour class covers all requirements to be certified as required by CCR, Title 10, Chapter 5, Subchapter 7.5.1, Article 1, Sections 2695.40 through 2695.45.  If you plan to be involved in adjusting or reviewing earthquake claims (remember, you are in California), you must be certified.  Certifications are good for 3 years from the date of the class.  Included in the program are the FCSPR's and SIU certifications.  What a deal!

& SIU Certification

This is 2 hour class recertifies you for both the FCSPR's and the often overlooked SIU mandated certification.
